Hi guys,
I’m not sure what’s happening to these two gold fish. The white one injured it self and started having these white things grow over the injured area. The red cap has a weird looking mouth(cotton mouth disease??) Pls help identify the problem. Thanks in advance!

details:
-300g hydroponics system with bog filter.
-Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate all normal, with aminos slightly elevated(.25 ppm)
  • 8 comet gold fish (6inch) 6 minnows, 3 small koi’s (6 inch)
  • the koi’s were recently introduced. All other fish have been together for 1.5 yrs.
-the system has been running since November 2020, a smaller 100gal system similar to this ran for 1 yr

The koi has herpes I think and the goldfish has infected wounds. You probably have to euthanize the koi if it has koi herpes. FYI it’s better to smash a fish than clove oil a fish if you do euthanize it. Smashing a fish with your foot with the fish in a bag or banging the fish on a rock or the wall kills it instantly
