Found this sitting on the gravel at the bottom of our male Betta tank.
Maybe 1mm in diameter, have no idea what it is.

No live plants in this tank, could it have come in with the Betta? Is that possible?Looks like a snail, probably came in on a plant.
If you absolutely don't want any snails, I understand that NO Planaria has been known to kill snails and is safe for shrimp. You could get assassin snails to kill the pest snails, but then you just have a different type of snail.When/if I find another, what’s the best thing to do?
The real question is, with a new tank, no live plants, and only one Berta fish that was sold individually in a plastic cup, where did this snail come from in the first place? If you absolutely don't want any snails, I understand that NO Planaria has been known to kill snails and is safe for shrimp. A Pea Puffer will make sure you have no snails and leave you wishing you had more snails because your pea puffer is hungry.
Life, uh, finds a way. 🤷♂️The real question is, with a new tank, no live plants, and only one Berta fish that was sold individually in a plastic cup, where did this snail come from in the first place?
