I was gravel vaccing my tank tonight and after dumping one of the buckets into the toilet I noticed some type of worm or leech wiggling at the bottom.

It was dark, somewhat flat or thin and thicker at it's mid section than at it's ends. It curled up it's ends and seemed like it had a tail type end that was paddling itself in the water. It was maybe a little less than an inch long...

Sorry I don't have any pictures, but does this sound familiar to anyone? Are they harmful?

I just did a little googling and I'm worried that they are camallanus worms... but I don't see them hanging out of any of the fish. I can't really do a lot of major dosing in the tank as I have a pleco / gouramis / a shrimp and some snails...

Any ideas / thoughts? Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, but I don't think that any of my fish would produce a long, thin worm-shaped fry.

If you see any more, try to get a pic. I found some worms on other sites that live in tanks, but don't know which ones you have.
