I’m relatively new to owning an aquarium but I’ve had this tank(55 gal) set up for over 6 mos now. I’ve also had this mollie for at least that long as well. All of the sudden it seems as if he can’t stay upright, swimming sideways and turning upside down. Is he dying? Can I do anything to save him if he is?

You have it in with soft water fish. Is the water soft by any chance? That would kill it eventually.

I just ran out of test strips but when I tested recently the water was actually on the hard side if things. I’ll buy some more strips today and check the water again.

Swim bladder aka dropsy. Probably won’t make it but it might. GL

Mollys like the harder water as most livebearers, but get a liquid test kit, more accurate
