Heya gang,
I have almost everything I need to set up the 20 breeder for my sweet little Kribs.
I'm going for a more natural look and have these real nice Blue Slate rocks for some décor.
Here's what I have so far, just waiting for one more item.
The tank lid from my 29 fits this tank perfectly and will do for now.

What do you guys think of Red Root Floaters?
I'm thinking it might be good to get some floating plants for this new set up.

They are a definite maybe. In reading up on the red root floaters I guess they like for the top not to be on the tank, they don't like the condensation.

Preliminary tank set up. The Kribs love their new apartment and are already digging. hehe
here's a pic, looks meh but it won't for long.
I used the HOB filter from my main tank to start this guy up. Should be all good.

Here's an updated picture of the tank, I'm trying for a prehistoric type look and the Godzilla Buce does it for me. I only got these last month and both are making new leaves already.

Notice the right corner, that's the love nest and you can see how much digging they are doing. Funny little couple they are.

Just a quick update on the 20. The tanks doing great, daily water tests have been spot on with a very tiny Nitrite spike. Nitrifying bacteria fixed that right quick.
What I wanted to croon about is the Male Krib. Since going in there he's just a little homebody, and I see mostly his eyes and lips peeking at me.
I got a good look at him today, he actually preened right up front for a couple minutes. Wish I had had my camera in hand. He IS Gorgeous!
He's gone a smokey blue grey which makes his fin colors really stand out. happy happy
