Has anybody tried making the overflow dividers like a overflow box with the notches. I've looked around an have not found any made this way. I was thinking It would be a good idea create more aeration. Was just an idea im gonna try just figured would let others think about it. Or is there a reason it wouldn't work.

Ya that's what I'm talking about I looked all over never found that one. So does that make a better sump. Could just drilling holes work better. When u use drilled holes it comes out in lil streams.

I've used drilled holes on my internal overflow never had a prob. Except when snails plug a hole wasn't major prob but raise water line a bit.

Some systems have smooth overflows that the water just goes over.I have used them in the past without problems.No holes,no teeth.All my overflows(most built in megas,and one reef octopus box) have teeth.
