Here is a question for freshwater lovers. In my 55 gal freshwater tank I recently placed a raphael catfish, he disappeared for a few days. When I happened to check the tank at night my large plecostomus had moved and the raphael was staying in a hollow of gravel below where the pleco usually rests. Has anyone else known of raphael's habits of hanging out with a larger fish.

New question, I am thinking of moving my smaller fish to a new tank so I can put a couple of pacus in with my large plecostomus. Has anyone heard of trying this. I understand the red belly pacus will destroy vegetation. Will they be ok with the pleco?

Thanks,

as far as raphael catfish go i think that they might be schooling fish
not sure though

the red pacus will eat your vegetation and i dont think that the pacus will be too happy in a 55 gallon becuz they get rather large
