I have some of these digital thermometer units that I can use to make my own thermometer/logger. The only problem is that they are always make of steel and poorly sealed. Is there some kind of epoxy or coating that I can dip them in to seal them? I'm afraid regular epoxy will just glob on and look terrible. I was checking out "PlastiDip" and lots of people claim it's aquarium safe but I'm not convinced and their site says not for permanent submersion.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
