Yesterday, he was gasping, way less red than normal, and, as you can see, has little black blobs inside his body.
The other embers look fine. This one has had a black stripe on his side for months (but otherwise was red and acting perfectly normal), and I thought it was just the way he was. Now my mom thinks 2 of the other ones are starting to have this stripe (although I'm not sure).
I put him in a hospital tank with Stress Coat and salt and went to bed. When I woke up, he was upside down and barely holding on. Unless someone has a suggestion for him, I'll probably have to euthanize him.
I have a planted 10 gallon with a honey gourami, a African dwarf frog, 3 ghost shrimp, and 3 other ember tetras.
Right now, my plan is to try API general cure on him and treat the tank as well. If he doesn't get better fast, I'll get some clove oil. Does this sound like a good plan?
