Heya gang,
Since I love to talk about these little honey's so much I is starting a new thread.
I do have a serious question though as well.
How long can a Nerite survive if they have flipped themselves over and haven't been seen?
Luckily, I dunno what possessed me but I took my flashlight and looked in the corner of my tank.
For the second day in a row there's Red trapped on her back flailing around.
I know what she's doing and it's not to smart, it's right below the heater and I think she's gotten herself a hotfoot and fallen on her back.
She's fine but wondered if I didn't see her all night would she live?

Love it
I do get all excited when my snails clean the plants, helps me for the hours I have spent rubbing brown guck off of leaves, but...never mind that.
Here's your long awaited snail pic of the week, young Spot giving the Anubias a nice clean. Gooo Spotty

Spot strives to grow that big ;)
My little Red Racer is cracking me up, she does what I call the slide she'll be putting down the glass then slide like an inch or two, it's pretty funny.
Spot is growing up. Here she is on her new Castle :D View attachment 33446
I dunno who I love more, the castle, or Spot! Great name for a nerite, too!

Cause she was the size of a Spot. hehe She's bigger now but some gravel is bigger than her.

I have convinced myself that I definitely need another Nerite. What a shame. ;)
I am always thrilled when I see one of my crew cleaning the plants.
We have Spot here cleaning the Wysteria, good girl Spotty.

Your long awaited Snail pic of the week. We need a pic of your Assasin CK. These two are pretty much inseparable as of late, the way it goes in the 29 I'm betting snail eggs in the future.

The abrasions Speedy had on his shell are almost all healed, you can see a couple towards the front of him but as long as they are closer to the side new shell will form and they heal. so so cool
