Something is boring holes into the shell of my Zebra Nerite snail. I have tried to scrape it off and have treated it with Hydroplex, which is supposed to kill parasites, but no luck. It almost looks like worms? Any idea of what it can be and how to get rid of it? Once it's gone should I try to patch the shell?

The snail is eating well and travelling around the tank without problems. I just want to prevent continued damage and suffering. Thanks for your help.
