Was thinking about buy the upgraded biocube 29gal from nanotuners. The lighting ugrade is as follows 2-36watt power compact daylights and 2-36 watt blue anctinic for a total of 144 watts of lighting for $460. Was wondering if this was worth the money or if I will have problems with overheating. I could really use some feedback on this, I want to get my tank and need to decide. I would appreciate any info.

Thanks, Rob :fishRed:

Dont really know about that but I have heard of people pulling the top of and running a chandelier type halide for roughly the same amount. Idk just a thought I myself have thought of doing this since I'd be able to keep sps but have not yet decided for sure.

i did that same upgrade. I liked it at first, but then I changed to a 150W sunpod. The sunpod is a much better light and when it comes time to replace the bulbs, the MH will be cheaper to replace. PC bulb if found were about $25 each shipped, so $100 vs $35 for the MH.
