Recently ive noticed when i do my water changes particularly when i vacuum the the gravel i stir up a few little tiny thread like worms they are about 2 inches in length and white i was wondering if anyone knew what these may be and if they could be detrimental to my other fishy friends not sure how they got there unless they hitched a ride on my plants anyone who can shed some light on this would be a great help thank you in advance

They are probably planaria.
I would suggest you cut back on feeding, as they are usually a sign that there is uneatten food in the tank.
They are not harmful to the fish, just an indicator of excess food.
Here in my fishhouse, we skip feeding the adult fish one day a week.
This takes care of an aquatic life that may be in the tanks with the fish.

You might want to feed them two times a day, a small pinch that should be completely eatin in 3 to 4 mns, Now if you have bottom feeders you may want to feed the right before light out and add just a tiny bit more food. They are more active at night and will find it.
