Hello there I am Andypandy, been keeping tropical fish for many years, also Marine set up for the last 5 years but disbanded my Marine last year owing to health problems I think it's called old age,now I only keep Tropical.
Welcome to the forum! Great idea to downsize as we get older. I only keep small tanks of small tropicals that I can easily manage now. The best part about fish keeping, is that there are fish for every stage of life!
Downsizing as we get older don't work for me. I keep adding more tanks to my list. Guess being disabled and not able to do much the tanks are the only thing I have to keep me busy.
Hi there,
One of my fish tanks that had the Marine in it is 150 gls, still use the sump filled with media and the over flow,it also has a 2227 Eheim professionel canister, and a smaller pump inside the tank to help circulation,2 x T5 lights.
I use RO water and all works beautiful, clean my tank out once every 6 months.
