Hi! My name is Vexi ! I got into fish keeping in July of 2021 after my dad gifted me a 12.5 gallon starter aquirium kit. Neon tetras were my first fish and I still have most of the very first ones I bought! They are all called Oscar from a inside joke with friends

(Sadly have lost 3 due to a case of a dropsy and coming home to the other two had suddenly died while I was work

)
I also have 5 bronze corydoras (One is an albino I called goblin he in is my icon!) Who all just recently moved into a 23 gallon tank after growing out of the 12.5 gallon I raised them in with their neon tetra tank mates.
I think they have calmed down since the transfer but one or two of them are still glass surfing. I'm not too worried as all perimeters are ideal but if anyone has advice in helping them settle better I'm all ears. They have some java fern in the new tank, 3 hides (As well as a large driftwood they can use to hide behind) and I've kept the lights off most of the day and kept the tank in darkness. Is it true they'll feel more secure with more fish around? I am planning to get oto catfishes and possibly dwarf honey goramis once my Betta finishes his QT and moves into the 12.5gallon (Hoping all goes well and he doesn't bully my poor neons.) freeing up my hospital heater and filter for the next lot of fishies. It's gonna be atleast a month though before I put any new fish into that tank.
Thank you for reading my word waffle! Here's some pics of my fish
