Hello. Our dalmatian molly is beginning to turn white. Is this normal?

if it is a fuzzy white it probably if a fungus. I would try some aquarium salt for FW aquariums per instructions. If it is fungus it should clear up in a day or so.

Fish lose their color due to stress and/or lack of a natural daylight cycle (8-12 hours on, the rest of the time off). There are many causes of stress, and most are caused by poor water quality (elevated levels of ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate, too low or too high pH, water too soft or too hard, etc.). Other stressors are afflictions like parasites, fin rot, etc. might cause stress. Lastly, things like lack of structures and/or hiding places and excessive current could cause a fish stress.
