Happy new years everyone! I'm Ryan, 19 years old, and kept aquariums since I was a kid (although I had no idea what I was doing). I think I first started around 11 or 12 years old, when most of my goldfish died week after week. No one told me about the nitrogen cycle, which is probably the reason why they all died!
After that, I kept two angel fish, which were lucky enough to survive about two years. At that point, I still didn't know about cycling the aquarium.
Last year, I set up a planted tank, which was soon infested by algae! I've torn that tank apart to rebuild it, which I just started two weeks ago.
Hope to learn a lot here!
