Got a cool plant for my tank

Hey guys,
when to the LFS this arvo and picked up 2 more small scissortails.
I also picked up a cool plant...no name or anything to identify it by.
There was only one as apparently the store manager bought the other ones LOL.
Here's a photo of it. Its a bit dark because i didnt want to use the flash that close to the glass but you can still see it ok.
The Neon Tetras have to know what's going on and i couldnt get a shot without them in it LOL.
Its still in its pot until i sort out where im putting it.
Anyone know what this is?

I must have hit the download button twice with the photos?

I forgot to mention, i also got 2 more scissortail rasboras.
They are only little guys but i like to watch them grow.
I put them in the tank, they did a lap very close to the bottom and then they noticed the other scissortails (mid to top dwellers) and shot right up there and kicked back with them.
The two newies are quite inquisitive and like to suss the whole tank which is encouraging the other ones to follow suit.
I didnt expect that but its great to see because the others are a little reserved so its very positive...YAY!
I would say, if youre going to get scissortails, get the young ones as they seem more inqusitive and less skittish with sudden movements.
Sweet! Pics of your tank please, I want to see those Scissortails.
Does that plant have tiny purple flowers on it?
It's shape is kind of like Pogstemon, hmmmm
How many Rasboras total do you have?
Cheers

Hi GG,
no worries, I'll get some pics sorted for you when the tank lights comes back on tomorrow(y)
There are no flower buds etc that i can make out so im not sure if the plant flowers at this stage.
Ive got a little family of 8 scissortails now...I'll probably have 10 next week 😁
My systems running really clean and the water parameters are very stable at the moment so i think 10 will be just fine 🤩

Youre right GG (y) the plant is a Pogostemon Stellata.
The description i read said it needs plenty of light but my lighting is moderately low due to the Anubias.
If it starts dumping leaves, i'll just remove it before it makes a mess, im not too fused, i got it for a reduced price.
Hopefully it behaves 'cause it does look cool with its small, needle type leaves gently swaying and dancing in the flow.

Very cool plant!

Thanks for the positive comments Dd, i'll get on to the tank shot asap.
I'll also try to get a photo of them all grouping at feeding time, its really cool, it puts a huge smile on my face every time :)
These guys are absolute maniacs at feed time.
The scissortails are extremely fast at grabbing food, the Neons and Embers know this and go like a bat out of hell to get their share, its hilarious.
Its total chaos but none of them have ever collided which is bloody amazing.
They've stopped perfectly nose to nose trying to eat the same piece of food...they look at each other as if to say "oh,sorry about that mate, my bad" and then gone in a flash again.

Those plants are super easy to grow. They might grow faster with brighter light but they certainly don't need it.
On my 20gal and my 10gal I have the crappo led lights that came with kits and the Pogo thrives.
It's gotten close to 20 inches in the big tank

And most of my tank. I want to get some Vallis for areas along the back, attach some Anubias nana petite to the upright piece of driftwood on the right and find a spot for the pogostemon.

Thank you for the lovely comments GG, i really do appreciate it.
Ive still got a bit of work to do but i like to take my time - the old saying "the journey is always better than the destination" (y)
The tank is a 3ft, 130L (28.5 gallons).
I'm off to the LFS to see how much the vallis is...woo hoo :p
Yay, got some vallis. It didnt cost much...got it for $5 a pot
Trimmed some of the ends, left them in their pots and dropped them in the tank for now (fed the Anubias yesterday so they'll enjoy the fert' in the water).
Its actually a little bit greener than the photos. I'll place it at the back to give more depth overall.
