The first time I noticed the eggs were a couple of days ago. How long would you say she has until the eggs hatch? Is there even any way to tell?

They can hold the eggs anywhere from 30-45 days usually. Then they will hatch and become free floaters for couple of days. Do you have other tank inhabitants? If so, this is usually when they are considered live food.

Some will say that they need brackish water to hatch. This isn't actually true. Mine hatch in straight FW. When they do hatch, they are not little minature shrimp. They are in a free floating larva stage. Sometimes you can find them wiggling around the water column. Like I mentioned before, if you have other fishies in the tank, this is when the wigglers are suseptable to being eaten.
