Fluval T200 Electronic heater

Hi everyone,
after the initial problems i had with the Aquael heater and a supply issue with a replacement heater, i decided to go with a Fluval T200 Electronic heater which arrived a few days ago.
Straight off the bat, im very glad i got this heater.
It was kind of a "that'll do" replacement but it was a Fluval so i knew the quality would be there so i thought why not.
Well, so far im very impressed with the heaters accuracy...0.1 of a degree difference between it and my infra-red temp gun so very accurate.
Tank temp' is staying stable, even on the 1 to 2 degree celcius nights we're getting at the moment.
It has an LED, 360 degree display light or ring just under the adjustment dial near the top which glows either RED-In operation and heating or BLUE-up to temp, heater in standby.
The glowing 360 degree light or ring is a really simple yet clever idea, very easy to see from any angle and the biggest bonus is...you can tell your heater's working at a glance.
The dial on top basically acts as the heater's top cap too and it has temp settings ranging from 22c to 32c.
The heater is packaged very well. It has 3 styrene blocks that slide onto the glass tube to keep it from moving around inside its box and it comes with the usual fold out instruction sheet.
Quality is very good, it maintains a stable temp and accuracy is A1.
I cannot report on Reliability at this stage but i will update in the future.

Here's a blurb from Fluval.
T-Series submersible heaters combine electronic accuracy, reliable monitoring, and multiple safety features to easily maintain desired aquarium water temperatures.

The 360° indicator light ring displays heat mode clearly from any angle, while a convenient large grip dial allows users to adjust the water temperature with ease.

In absence of water, the T-Heater automatically cuts power to prevent overheating, while a heater guard provides additional peace-of-mind protection.

Advanced electronic construction provides superior accuracy, stability and long-term performance.
24/7 monitoring regulates temperature and avoids large, unsafe fluctuations.

(illuminates RED when heating function is engaged and BLUE when desired temperature is achieved)

Slip on heater guard provides additional protection against breakage.
Large grip dial easily adjusts water temperature from 22-32˚C (72-90˚F).
Fully submersible design allows for placement anywhere in aquarium either vertically or horizontally.
Mounting brackets and suction cups included.

Performance update:-

Very little temperature fluctuation (0.2-0.3 of a degree) between on and off cycles so set temp remains very stable and the heater isnt working very hard at all to maintain that (although i did get the 200 watt model...50 more watts than i needed which puts less load on the heater).
The heater's working perfectly at this stage and im very happy with it.
I have a different model M150 I like it a lot too

Hi Kurama
i didnt realise Fluval heaters were so good.
Ive always gotten their canister filters and know how good they are so i shouldn't be suprised i suppose.
I'll take european quality over chinese any day...especially when it comes to heaters.
Sounds like the M series is also a cool heater...some great reviews on line too :)(y)

Its hard to go past a company that consistently produces products that out-perform most others on the market , look stylish and have a backup service (ive used it) that is A1.
My Filter (107) and heater are Fluval, its just the light now.
Just quickly, my 107 is running at it's max tank capacity (130L) and is still keeping my 3ft tank spotless...outstanding performance (and they're so small).
Kurama, i hope you dont mind if i ask...how do you find the planted 3.0? Ive been looking at all of Fluval's different lighting options and havnt made any decisions yet.
Good to know there's another Fluval fan on the forum :)(y)

What sealed the deal with me is the app and auto timer features. Plus you can turn the light on manually also. The app has alot of features. I run 2 fluval 3.0 bar lights and 3 fluval 3.0 nano lights. All of my filters are fluval. Almost all of my heaters are fluval. All of my aquasoil if fluval. All of the food I use except live food is fluval. I love fluval. 😆 🤣

:ROFLMAO:
The 3.0's sound awesome...gonna have to check them out for sure.
If Fluval products werent so expensive here in Australia (being european), id definately be running a full Fluval system.
They're a very innovative, awesome company :)(y)

One of them I've had since last year and the other 2 are a few months old. But they have been going strong. No problems from my end.

Thank you Dd, thats really good to hear.
If reliability was going to be an issue, i think you'd be experiencing problems by now.
The fact that you havnt experienced any problems and have instead had nothing but a positive experience so far is a really good sign and a big plus.
These heaters kick arse!
I appreciate your input Dd, thank you.

Most welcome. I like fluval alot. It's a brand I haven't had any problems with. Had to get a new impeller for my 207 and even the support hotline for fluval was awesome!
It may be a great heater but I'd rather shoot myself in the foot before paying $54. for a heater
That's cheaper then the titanium heater I was looking at. 😆
