Hey guys, I was hoping I could ask if anyone knew if fish can get cataracts and if they're treatable. My youngest koi has something foggy on his right eye that I think might be a cataract but I'm not sure. You can just barely see it, so it's not major and I think he sees just fine, at least right now. He was born with a deformed (kind of elongated) mouth so I was thinking maybe he was also born with the foggy eye since I don't think most creatures usually get cataracts at such a young age. He's not even five months old yet. I don't know, if anyone knows what a foggy fish eye might be, please tell me, I'd really appreciate it. I just want to know if it's going to damage his eye and if I should try to find a marine vet or not. If it's not serious then I'd rather not put him through the travel stress.
