Actually its my first tank in about 10 years since i moved, making it really my second. But this is a small one. Its a 10 gallon tall pedestal tank. It's tropical freshwater. Currently i have 5 ghost shrimp keeping the rocks clean, and 4 glass cats schooling around, but keeping close to the bottom. I am looking for something that will maybe use the top 3/4 of the tank. I wouldn't mind small schoolers of some sort, or anything else that will use the top part of the tank, as long as they dont come down and snack on my shrimp. Oh, and what kind of snail(s) would you suggest for the glass(as long as they dont multiply).

I would get some neons, perhaps, or some guppies. They will leave the shrimp alone and inhabit the middle areas of the tank. However, as mentioned above, you need to stock this tank very light due to the small footprint. Fish will utilize horizontal space much more than vertical.
