I have a 35 gal hex with a Marineland Biowheel 200 filter. Also have two 10" bubble stones going.

I was just wondering should I shut any off these off for a short time (say 10 minutes) when feeding?

Yeah, I leave mine on to push the food down also. I read somewhere to turn it off so that the food doesn't get sucked up into the filter, but that has never been a problem for me. My fish are such chowhounds, it doesn't last that long. lol

I used to turn mine off when I fed them but now I don't. I do soak the food for some time before I put it in the tank so it does not float. I have a top of the tank return system.
