So the fiance bought this siphon thing that hooks up to the faucet except it doesn't creat a tight seal AND the pressure of water pushing back on the thing causes a leak under the sink. Does anyone else have any other good methodology for cleaning their crushed coral? Maybe a wet vac hooked up to something? We have a 55-gallon tank with two filters running in it.

I use a large shop vac to clean the sump, however it is much too fast for using in the tank. There are plenty of cleaning products that use gravity to pull the water out. They allow the coral to swirl around and then drop back to the bottom while the lighter material exits with the water. They employ a large diameter tube that attaches to the end of a smaller tube to control the water flow. Great for water changes while cleaning the coral and rock.
