Cleaning algae off aquarium glass

I recently came across Melamine sponges as a potential glass cleaner for aquariums. After some research I found that they have no additives and I did see a review or two on them for that specific purpose on YouTube. I picked up a pack, rinsed one off (in case there was any loose particulate matter from the bag). From what I saw, they worked really well. I cleaned all the glass in my 29 gallon aquarium in less than 5 minutes. The algae stuck to the sponge and didn't float back into the water. I also did not see any particulate matter from the sponge in the water. It was minimal effort and the algae came off with ease.

Keep in mind this is my own experience. I'm posting this because it worked well for me, maybe someone else can benefit.
The sponge itself is a micro-abrasive so it can't be used an aquariums made of plastics.

If someone else out there has used these and found some issue with them, let me know.

Went and got one today to give them a go.
After trying, Im sold. They clean algae off the glass better than a lot of sponges ive tried.
These ones have a blue side which is a slightly heavier sponge for stubborn stuff (didnt need it though, the white one's are awesome enough).
Cost me $1 for a pack of two at the local bargain shop.
