I have what I believe to be 1 male and 1 female convict cichlid. They're young, about 1 1/2 in big so it's hard to actually determine sex. The one is very aggressive toward the other. Is it common for convicts of opposite sex to be aggressive toward each other or should i take one back and wait out the sex determination for sure? The aggressive one had more pronounced markings and longer pointed fins. The other has less pronounced markings but blunter fins. I'm confused ..any input would be greatly helpful!
