Effective immediately Expert Badges will no longer be a part of the site. This decision was made based on concerns that it could cause hard feelings among the Members, and We, meaning Jarred and myself will not allow that to happen. From this point on, The extent of a persons knowledge of our hobby will be demonstrated by their individual posts, and not by anyone elses perception of that ability.The welcome Wagon award, may be given at the discretion of any staff member who feels a member has demonstrated they deserve it.

Hope its a welcome change, we think its in the overall best interest of the community.
It sounded like a good idea at first but causes too much of a stir. We may not always get everything we try right, but we are proactive and continue to make changes and experiment with things to keep making the site better.
