Good day all you aquarium enthusiasts! I have just started up my new 46 gallon bowfront tank (freshwater) it's been cycling for 2 weeks. Added fish 4 blue gourami and two angelfish. It got cloudy after the 2nd day of them being in there. All the readings are in the normal range. I was wondering if this is a bacterial bloom ? It's been cloudy for 2 weeks. I have tried Accu clear and nothing. Should I do like a 50 percent water change? I would appreciate any help . Thankyou.

bacterial bloom in your aquarium, the water becomes cloudy and turns milky within a few days. Regular partial water changes and good tank maintenance will usually prevent severe bacterial blooms. In new tanks, the bloom will dissipate as the nitrogen cycle becomes established and stabilizes. Cloudy Aquarium Water is because of one of these three factors over feeding, dead fish or build up of dead plants. Just let the water cycle frome what I hear.

Hi t.doty97...Welcome :)
Cycling normally takes 3-4 weeks so you may have introduced the fish a little too soon...but dont worry, water changes will help while the cycle completes.
Introducing some beneficial bacteria (many products available) will help to speed up the process.
Gabe is correct...as your Nitrogen cycle establishes, the cloudiness will dissipate (some 25% water changes in the mean time will help to keep water parameters from "taking off".
Dont worry,things will stabilize.

t.doty97...Welcome to the forum! We are glad you are here.

. All the readings are in the normal range.
What are you using to measure Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate?
And what are the results?
It's been cloudy for 2 weeks.
You should be doing a 25% WC every day or other day. Depending on the need for it.
. Should I do like a 50 percent water change?
Like I said, try a 25% WC and another the next day.
I would appreciate any help . Thankyou.
I hope this helps you... :geek:
And keep us posted on how your tank is doing!
