Hello! I recently bought a 40 gallon glass tank that has some mirco chips on the outside of the glass. The tank does hold water I just got through draining it no too long ago, but I question If it will be safe to hold glofish. I would rather not wake up to a shattered tank and fish dead all over the floor. I will provide some pics below the circled areas are the chips. The glass was wet from draining after water testing it.

Chips can be annoying visually, but from what I can see in your image. I wouldn't question its safety.

Chips can lead to cracks and shattered glass as water pressure of any sort can weaken structures over time. Perhaps a sealant can patch those cracks or get it fixed by a professional to replace that side with new sealant. A new 40 or 55 gallon might be cheaper than fixing and keep this partially imperfect tank as a Quarantine tank.
