Hello again,
I have a 24" striplight with my aquarium hood, and I just realized, there are no ventilation holes in the light. None at all. Won't it overheat without some kind of ventilation? Aren't there always some sort of ventilation slits in aquarium hoods? I'm afraid the plastic cover will get too hot and melt, or god forbid start a fire.
I went to the Perfecto website, the manufacturer, and looked at the strip light setups they had, and they all had ventilation holes. Did the manufacturers goof or something? <Scratches head>
