Does anyone know how to build your own filter for a 75 gallon aquarium?
A fluval is really expensive for right now, maybe in a year or so.... but right now I was wondering if there is anything i can build myself....

any advice?

i think with the use of a couple powerheads and tubing you could accomplish the job but the trick is getting the flows set just right. I'd suggest geting a smaller tank or bucket and making it into a small refugium or scrubber (like for SW) and just putting sacks of carbon or sponge/filter media to create a good bacteria colony.

you could also do a series of larger air or powerhead powered sponge filters.

Well, great news!
I found a fluval 404 filter for an inexpensive price so... That worked out well!
Yes, I did have a budget, a very strict budget (lol)
