Hi all, I am new to forum and hope this question hasn't been over asked.
I have a new marine tank set up, 180L (47 gallon) and am doing the fishless cycling.
I have added Dr Tims one and only nitrifying bacteria and ammonia, left my filter sock out and skimmer off for 2 days. Test started at 1.2 ppm of ammonia and after 9 days it hasn't dropped at all, and nitrite is sitting at .05 ppm. The videos I have seen of Dr Tims say at day 9 I should be adding fish.
Is there something more I need to know to help the ammonia to drop so I can start enjoying my marine tank, the coral and fish I want to put in there.

I appreciate any advice given.

How much did you add for the initial dosing?
Hi blrvnblst, I put in 1 drop per 1 Gallon of Dr Tim’s ammonia chloride = 44 drops. I was under the impression that I was suppose to have 2ppm but tested only 1.2ppm. Since I posted this the level has dropped slightly to 1ppm with a new test due today.
