I am planning my ten gallon setup before we actually have it. With the calculators help I figured we want 13 Neon Tetras and 6 Ghost Shrimp with a 30 gal capacity filter.

I'm wondering what you think about my adding these plants to the tank:

Taiwan Moss, Christmas Moss, Round Pellia, Java Moss, and Flame moss.

Some would be ancored to things to add depth and a natural looking hiding spots, the Java Moss would be free floating and thinned regularly.

I have experience with Java Moss so no worries there but the others are new to me. Please share any experiences you may have had with these!

It sounds good to me, tetras are good tankmates with shrimp and the shrimps favor the moss. And 13 tetras for a 10 gallon doesnt seem like overstocking either, sounds like borderline. Just remember with small tanks, the water chemistry changes faster. I am about to change one of my smaller gallon tanks into a shrimp tank also :)

Oh ok! Hey, do those glo fish count the same as tetras? We have seen gold, pink and a greenish variety. . . would a mixed group of those work or do they have to be the same color? Just a thought!
