I certainly plan on getting a bigger and nicer one. But for now this one is going to have to do the trick. So I'm trying to maximize it's efforts for the time being.

Ya that's what I've been finding out is there's no reason to use it on my marine tank. I got an amazing price on it though so I guess I'll leave my tank set up as is for now. Thanks!

Well with no live plants in the tank I might try less lighting or even no lighting for a while till the green clears up. Also I would up your filtering. A 206 is too small for a tank that size IMO...

You have to give more info. How long are the lights on? Is your tank near a window? True sunlight will do that to a tank. What's your filter system, and what's your water changes look like?

So I have high phosphate count in my tap water. Now I know I'm should be using RO water. But the last time I got it from the store it sent my phosphate count sky high. So 80 not sure what that was...

I wouldn't say your lights are on too long. It probably comes back to water quality. Do you know your water perams? And again if youplants are growing good now, don't get lights that are too much...
