No signs of any diseases? Any chance something like windex or the like has gotten in the water? Ask your city ( If you have city water) if they have done anything different.

Five to ten years, but we are not sure the age they are when we buy them. I would say if your setup is all on par, then it has to be something like age as opposed to disease. Do keep an eye on it...

What were the things specifically that you added to the tank? What is the exact parameters? ( test strips do not work as well as a liquid master test kit.) I suggest that not only you test your water...

Yeah just as long as it is in the tank water bacteria will grow on it. I myself stick mine in the other filter but my filters are also canisters.

The water is green so it is an algae bloom, not bacterial.

You can get a timer about anywhere, doesnt have to necessarily be for aquariums. Just a simple timer would work for the time being. You...
