Re: Pictures from my Map Turtles Surgery

Before and after pictures?

What symptoms did he have that lead you to decide he needed surgery? (Or was mouth not shutting the primary reason?)

Glad the guy is doing well.

Pictures from my Map Turtles Surgery

This past summer one of my turtles developed a problem with his mouth - he could not shut his mouth all the way. Took him to the vet and they operated on his beak - said he must have been eating too much calcium (cuttlebone) and overgrown his beak.

These pictures are pretty cool. They let me watch the surgery. I thought I would share the pictures since its not every day that a turtle goes under the knife.

He recovered nicely and is as good as new.
