question

ok so i am trying to finish my tanks cycle. This is the seventh week. One reason my cycle is most likely prolonged because of two big water changes. Anyway long story short all my replacement water is ro di water. I added live nitrifying bacteria to this water. 11 days later or so now. Question, I am wondering if i need to change any of my water, because of a nitrate reading of about 25 30 ppm as my tank now tries to finish its cycle. I am afraid i will remove bacteria, but though my tank has no fish in it yet, it does have some invertebrates.

Re: question

Im surprised you have any living inverts with that reading. i would suggest you get them out and let the tank finish its cycle.

IMHO, livestock of any kind, should never be added to an un cycled tank.
