New tank?

I am considering getting a saltwaterautolinker.com autolinking image tank in a few months. I know NOTHING about them. I was wondering what I would need to start a small one (5-10 gallons). What would be the cost (estimate)? Maintenance? What kinds of live plants do saltwaterautolinker.com autolinking image tanks have? I will be thinking about this. This will not happen tomorrow. Maybe with in the next year or so. First I want to learn?.

Re: New tank?

First and foremost: I never did start my saltautolinker.com autolinking image water tank, so this is based on research, not experience.

I would not do anything under 20 gallons to start. Doing a nano saltautolinker.com autolinking image water tank is much more complicated than a larger one, as the parameters are much harder to maintain. For example, if you put a drop of oil in a glass of water, the oil will coat the entire surface. However, if you put the same drop in a pond, you will see the color as it spreads, then disappears. I'm not saying you will be putting in oil, but you will have to keep salinity, and having more of a buffer for starting out is much easier to control/maintain.

Currently setup (down to 20!):
8x 10g grow out tanks + 1 microcrab tank
1x 20g female crayfish tank
1x 20g Endler tank
2x 20g long crayfish breeders
1x 29g breeder for Mosquito Fish
1x 29g blue crayfish growout tank
1x 45g tall Super Reds
1x 55g Wife's Shrimp tank
1x 60g Platys
1x 75g Super Reds
1x 75g + 20g long sump Cats, Pickerel, Bait, and Punkin

Waiting for room:
4x random <5 gallon
12x 5g
15x 10g
1x 17g
2x 29g
2x 55g
1x 75g
