Petland Discounts?

This the fish store (pet store really) closest to me, and it's the only one within 20 minutes that I've found. The fish selection seems meh-bad. The filters and tank parts are the same. It's basically a miniature version of Petco or Petsmart.

Anyway, the employees tell me they can't know what fish will be in stock in the future, and when I ask if they can order some for me they just say no they can't. Also a lot of their tanks are labelled with fish that aren't in there, very frustrating.

Anyone have experience with this store, and how often do they restock the fish?

Re: Petland Discounts?

We have one near me called petland/aquarium adventures, I used to be in their "fish club"(discounts galore even free filter exchanges and upgrade your tank for a fraction of the cost) but I did notice recently they have done the same thing, they moved around their tanks and things arent in there anymore that should be and they tend to sell fish as a species that it aint.
I have since let my membership lapse as I did buy a puppy from them in 1996 and it was dead by december 2001 due to "worst case" of cancer the vet had ever seen. Thats just me though.

I wish you luck in finding a decent LFS, try aquabid its a bunch of hobbyist selling quality stock to other hobbyists.

Also they fed you a line of bull, they can order anything that their supplier has and they know a good month in advance what stock is in.
