Houston, TX

Hi everyone im new here and I was wondering if anyone here is from Houston? And if so what are the best LFS? Ive been to a couple of chain stores but I have only found 2 people at 2 different stores that are really educated on aquariums. One of the guys actually quizzes you before he will sell you any fish lol But I would really like to find a LFS that I can trust

I live south of Houston about 30 min. I've been to a lot of pet stores and haven't found anyone I completely trust.

I recently started and have purchased most of my items from Aquarium world on 290 between 610 and 8. The staff seem friendly and knowledgeable and they have the best looking fish that I have seen in town. Also recently went to Fish Gallery and agree that their fish seem kind of expensive, but it is an impressive store, may be more pertinent if you are looking for specialty fish. Also aquarium world does require water tests (free) for purchase of some of the more delicate fish varieties. Definitely worth checking out. They also have weekly fish specials starting every Wednesday that can be seen on their site. Would be interested to here of any other suggestion from local people.

ALSO, anyone know the basic water parameters they get from their tap? Just curious and I live next door to reliant.
