Madtom catfish

I caught this little 1 1/2 catfish in the local creek and added it to my tank.

Apparently its called a Madtom catfish which is Missouri's smallest species of catfish.
My question is how big does it get? Is it aggressive? What does it eat?
How do I care for it?
Thanks.

Re: Madtom catfish

Neat little fish and should get to around 3". They love scuds but will eat almost anything that reaches the bottom. They don't seem to do well on flake food as they have a difficult time getting it with their mouth structure.

Now the draw backs, these guys will eat other fish and small snails. They also have a hard time tolerating higher temps so 72f-74f max. They are night owls but get very trained to begging for food.

I'm in Jefferson County so p.m. me maybe we can help each other.
