Texas Cichlids

I love Texas Cichlids. I am seriously thinking of starting a new Texas Cichlid tank. I used to have a breeding pair that were the sweetest things. I haven't had them in a few years because I didn't want to move the poor things again. The place I purchased them from is closed down now and the only 2 places that sell fish where I live now is Walmart, and an exotics store I really don't like going to. Neither carry Texas Cichlids. Does anyone know of a good place that sells them in El Paso, TX? I know my exotics guy in El Paso doesn't carry them because they're not colorful enough. He might be able to special order them. I will have to set up my tank and let it cycle before getting them. I'm going to have to pull all of my equipment from when I last had them, and make sure everything works, get gravel, filter media, "hides", and cheap fake plants for them to throw around. I'm not afraid of the details of their care. I raised my original pair from tiny babies, and raised and sold several clutches of their babies. All of the babies were healthy active, and not shy even as 3 week olds. My adults were big healthy silly fish. Thanks in advance.

Re: Texas Cichlids

Go to Aquabid. There are plenty of breeders and you will get much healthier fish than the pet store.
