Stocking questions

Anyone ad experience with the following being together? Wanting to put one red spot severum as the main attraction in my 75 gallon setup. In addition I was thinking about a pair of German blue rams and maybe 5 discusautolinker.com autolinking image. Running a fluval 406 canister filter. According to aqadvisor, I don't see any conflicts as far as water requirements.

Re: Stocking questions

I have to agree, the rams will end up being a nice snack for the severum. I am sure the discusautolinker.com autolinking image will not thrive and likely end up herded into a corner to die of stress overload. Plus the water parameters are so different that somebody is going to be unhappy.

Re: Stocking questions

discusautolinker.com autolinking image and GBR would work well together since they both need warm water. A school of rummynoses or cardinal tetras would also work well. In my experience, individual severums have varying temperaments. I had to rehome a red severum which killed one geophagus and ripped the eye off another.

150 - Angelfish, Geophagus, Striped Raphael Cats, Cory Metae

90 - Dwarf Loaches, Corys, Neon Tetras, Rummynoses, Bolivian Rams, BNP, Glass Catfish, Black Phantom Tetras

Sorry for the lack of updates. Stay very busy. Still haven't decided. I've had the tank up and running for a good while now. I put my fancy goldfishautolinker.com autolinking image in to get a good cycle started then out them back in their home. Now I'm thinking about possibly the severum with a blue acara, firemouth, or electric blue jack dempsey. Want the severum for sure. But want something else to accompany. Would love to have the ebjd but unsure if I want to take the aggression risk of one. I've heard the electric blues are more timid than the true dempseys. Maybe a blue acara. Something that will offset the color of the severum and be a good counterpart for a wow factor. I just want a beautiful aquarium.
