63l tank..126l tank

63 l tank ok..ish for small cichlids?
if yes how many of them ?

The dilemma is the following..I got a 63l tank with a 1000 l/h filter.
I will buy a 126l tank..and I got two options

OPTION A :
The 126l tank is for dwarf cichlids only
The 63l I keep with the current setup..nerites,small hoplo, platy, neon, oto and cory.

advantage : i guess better for cichlids.
disadvantage : a cichlid tank is mostly empty due to their temper.[just some rocks and maybe some driftwood].just cichlids no snails no otehr fish nothing.

OPTION B :
beings from 63l tank get moved to 126l tank, plus a lot of space for a nice decoration with rocks driftwood plants...more fit for a community tank with lots of species.

63l tank goes to cichlids

advantage : the big tank has a lot of decoration and cosmetic potential
disadvantage : 63l too small for cichlids..?

what would you guys do?

If you want something to go with the dwarf cichlids try one of the larger Goodieds. They can hold their own.

There are plenty or PEACEFUL dwarf cichlids. To name one off of the top of my head I would say dwarf keyhole cichlid.

Re: 63l tank..126l tank

63 liters is about 17 US gallons. I would keep stocking small and go with a pair of rams and a school of rummynoses.

150 - Angelfish, Geophagus, Striped Raphael Cats, Cory Metae

90 - Dwarf Loaches, Corys, Neon Tetras, Rummynoses, Bolivian Rams, BNP, Glass Catfish, Black Phantom Tetras

If he goes with the bigger tank then he can do some peaceful dwarf cichlids and some tetras. There are some dwarf cichlids that are so peaceful they have to be kept by themselves or with tetras or they can starve.
