How do I make brackish water for 1 Fancy Guppy, 1 Wild guppy and 1 nerite snail?

Today, since lemon hates the dalmatian molly, I bought him a 1 gallon tank for himself... temporary of course, until I can get him a 5 gallon. He has about an inch and a half of gravel, a fake plant and a cave for him to hide in. It also came with a light fixture, and an under gravel filter run by an air pump for 1 gallon tanks. It's a pretty good deal, I got it for 10 dollars at Walmart.

He seemed bored in the tank so I gave him a girl to chase around and he seems happier. I gave him a Nerite snail to clean up after him. I also have that potential parasite problem and I would like to treat the tank as a precaution with some instant ocean sea saltautolinker.com autolinking image but I have no idea how much is needed for BRACKISH water. In total, how much per gallon is needed? Thanks a bunch.

And I am aware that since Lemon and the wild female has been in freshwaterautolinker.com autolinking image most of their lives, I will have to acclimate them to Brackish water.

The saltautolinker.com autolinking image used for marine aquariums is not the same as salt for medicinal purposes. That being said it takes aprox.2 cups to bring 5 gallons tap/ro to marine levels(1.020-1.024) and brackish is in the range of 1.009-1.011.So 3/4 of a cup would be in the range .You will need a hydrometer or way more expensive piece of equipment(refractometer($20 -$50) or a digital refractometer($200 ish)) to measure the true results.
Guppies don't live in brackish water(but your mollie would). For a salt treatment you should just use UN iodised table salt and add aprox. 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. For the price difference and what you are trying to do I would spend the 50 cents on a pound of morton Un iodised table salt, and use a measuring spoon.

Brackish in water cycles can be tricky. Really what you need to figure out first is what level of brackish water the guppies can tolerate. The nerite can handle marine conditions so no worries there. And get some saltautolinker.com autolinking image and a bucket, you will also need a hydrometer. This will help measure the amount of saltautolinker.com autolinking image in your water. You will need to slowly add the salt water. Every other day add water that's a little stronger. Keep a close eye on salinity. Its not a difficult transition and your guppies will actually thrive in brackish water. But it will go through a cycle while new bacteria that can handle salt grow.

If I add two or three sprinkles of sea saltautolinker.com autolinking image to one gallon, would that be okay? I just have this feeling that a little bit of salinity may be beneficial in some way to kill whatever parasite I am dealing with.

Use some form of measure(a teaspoon or tablespoon?).although there is much documentation of guppies in brackish(some claim full marine?) it is the hardness(GH) they prefer not the saltautolinker.com autolinking image. Many have had what they say to be good results with saltautolinker.com autolinking image as a med ,but I don't go that way.Salt is for helping osmoregulation(exchange of fluids and salts in the body). It may kill some parasites but I would be careful, especially with marine salt as opposed to aquarium/un iodised table salt.Marine salt has a whole lot more stuff in it.

Alright, then what I'll do since there's nothing else I can do with the parasite, is I will give Lemons water slight salinity and leave it that way for about a week or two and then slowly, acclimate him back to freshwaterautolinker.com autolinking image.

There's not enough saltautolinker.com autolinking image to taste in Lemons water but since I added the saltautolinker.com autolinking image, the nerite snail started moving instantly.
