Re: My New Discus

It is a pigeon blood and I would speculate a turquoise variant which usually is red or blue. Some people call them Tiger Turqs because of the vertical stripe.

Re: My New Discus

It's a Turq of some kind. Not a Pigeon Blood for sure. Change water regularly feed it good with different foods and see what it looks like in 6 to 8 months from now.

Re: My New Discus

Only two discusautolinker.com autolinking image? Are they shoaling with the angelfish? Usually it takes five or six discusautolinker.com autolinking image to keep them from grieving themselves to death.

Re: My New Discus

You are mistaken. It is absolutely a Pigeon blood. It is not a Pigeon, but all turqs are Pigeon blood. It is the base stock they were bread from back in the 1980s. That fish is a Pigeon blood, zero doubt about it.

Re: My New Discus

I agree with the 5 to 6 in a group. But some people don't understand that or are new to discusautolinker.com autolinking image and don't research. The only way I have 2 together is pairs. Usually less they get stressed, skittish and eventually get sick and die. Not trying to be harsh here just stating experience and trying to help people with discusautolinker.com autolinking image and caring properly for them.

Re: My New Discus

The PB came from a Turq yes. Turqs were first and Somewhere in Asia there was a different kind of fish with yellow eyes and the "peppering" referring to the black spots on a pigeon. This fish was bred with a Turq and 50% came out as Turqs and 50% came out as the start of the pigeon Blood.
I'll look up the article and post a link.

Here's the link C.E. discusautolinker.com autolinking image History

History of the Pigeon Blood discusautolinker.com autolinking image

It is the same article. I had it saved as well. My Turks will speckle when I put them in a black background, hence my statement that they were pigeon blood. They do not speckle as badly as the lighter colors.

Re: My New Discus

Identifying a discusautolinker.com autolinking image that small from a picture with that poor a background and color is a poor joke. I would recommend a more varied diet and a larger shoal.
