Talking red leg hermit babies

So I have some red legged hermit crabs in my 20 gallon saltwaterautolinker.com autolinking image tank. The crabs had some babies and they are alive. I didn't believe it. I haven't been able to find anything on the web about this. Its awesome!

Re: red leg hermit babies

the fourth post on this thread has some info, limited as it is.
Blue Legged Hermits and Scarlet Hermits : Propagation & Captive Breeding
I guess they say that getting eggs is no big deal(it is a good thing of course),but does actually happen more often then many may think as it seems almost all hermits are wild caught.
I really tried to study up and learn about raising shrimp(like cleaners and the like) as they get set with eggs all the time.It turned out the actual raising of them is nearly if not completely impossible.Conditions like a jelly fish tank(circulating round tank where the larvae never touch the sides or sit on bottom) are necessary.
Enjoy them while you can,a picture or two would be cool.I think the diffaculty is in feeding and water quality(they always go hand in hand for fry!)

^That's an interesting observation that a jellyfish tank would be good for that. I knew there was a good use for jellyfish tanks out there somewhere. It does make it sound much more possible when you phrase it that way though.
