Odor??

I have finally gotten my tank cycled, it has been supporting fish for several weeks, I have a fully inclosed top. My chemistry is OK, Put it does have an odor to it when you open the glass. opinions on is this normal??

Normal. Do you use charcoal? Put some freshautolinker.com autolinking image charcoal in if you already use it. Some airflow will help if it is fully enclosed. If you use charcoal, it should be replaced every 2wks at the most. It looses its effectiveness very quickly. Many people don't use it for that reason.

Really only good for removing toxins/meds and smells. Keep the toxins out, remove medications with water changes and you really don't need charcoal.
