Nitrate level, help understanding tests.

So the tank is settling and everything made it through the night last night.
Just checking different levels right now.
The phosphate level was undetectable with 2 different tests. (I thought the first was mistaken)
The nitrate level is pink. It's in the middle-low end of the scale, but I don't understand the numbers on the card. They're high on the left side and low on the right then colors in the middle. Sorry about all the questions, just trying to learn.

Re: Nitrate level, help understanding tests.

Sounds like a salifert test? One side is high reading(for more drops /or less water) and the other would be for low readings.
Salifert Nitrate Profi Test | Aquarium Test Kits | Nitrate Test | Nitrate in Water | Aquarium Nitrate
This link should have directions.
Directions say it is the way you look at test vial;looking top down, or from side.

Re: Nitrate level, help understanding tests.

Thanks, it's not that brand, but very similar! The nitrate level is at 10ppm. Now to lower it somehow.
