Has anyone else.........................

Has anyone else been experiencing the forum flashing? Just a few minutes ago, the forum has flashed multiple times. I had to just close the forum and come back in to make it stop. It is weird that it does this. What is causing it to flash?

@Yung: Same thing happened with Fish Forums, except when you put the cursor over the ad at the top of the forum, the forum would flash. Next time it happens, I will get a pic of it and send it to you.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

My browser is Chrome. I am on my computer. It did it again, so I took a video and a pic of it. Going to send it to forumadmin, so hopefully it can get fixed. Actually I am emailing Yung the video of it, right now.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

While you're here, please post in the forums as well so we can also help users who are also having this issue in case someone else is also experiencing this.

It might have to do with your chrome version and if you're using any plugins on the browser. More heads think harder

Yung: here is a video of Fish Forums flashing. I messaged the other admin this video on Facebook to see if he knows why Fish Forums is flashing.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

Are you using the 32 or 64 bit version of Chrome? If you go to [options button that is the 3 lines] --> Help --> About Google Chrome, does it say you are up to date (should be version 49.0.2623.112 m)? Is the flashing happening on say, YouTube, etc.? Do you have Java installed, and if so, what version?

Re: Has anyone else.........................

I will see if it is up to date after I take care of some business. Right now I am using Mozilla Firefox and so far there are no issues. But I will see about the Chrome version. I will let you know as soon as I find out.

I just checked to see if the Google Chrome is up to date and yes it is up to date. The number you have above is the same number that is the version I am using. Not sure how to find what bit version I am using though. The flashing is just on Aquarium Forum and Fish Forums, no other website.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

Suggestion:

Try checking your Adobe's Shockwave Flash plugin or flash player plugin to see it it is up to date OR you have multiple versions running.

Hmmm, I haven't thought about that. Thank you for the suggestion FancyFish. I will do that later today, when I get things done.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

Have you tried adding an ad block, the flashing could be cause by an ad that your computer monitor cannot take.

Let me know if this helps

Re: Has anyone else.........................

I will try that. Because I was on Fish Forums and when I scrolled, it flashed like the above video of Fish Forums flashing. I will look for the ad block programs and see if I can download them. I hope it works.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

Just installed the adblock for Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, so we shall see if it helps. Just need to give it a few days. I will let you, forumadmin, know if it has worked after a week. Thank you for helping me with this. Yung: Thank you for helping me with this as well and allowing me to post the issue about Fish Forums on here.

Greatly appreciate everyone's help, it was frustrating that the forums would flash and I didn't know why, but I think we have found a solution to the issue. I will let everyone know in a week if I have any more issues with the forums flashing.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

If you guys haven't tried this, it might help.

It seems like it's solely a browser issue.

Re: Has anyone else.........................

Update: Well it has been a week since the issue of the forums flashing. Happy to say that they are not flashing anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that it was the ads on the forums that were causing it to flash like it did. Oh well, just glad that it isn't flashing anymore. Thank you to all the admin, including Yung for helping me with this issue. Also thank you to the members who helped as well. Issue has been resolved!!!!!!!!!!!
